Darby’s original cable sweater was great, but it didn’t fit a 5-pound dog. Autumnblossomknits sized it down. It works.
The cable runs down the back. It’s a single cable, not a complicated Aran panel – clean and classic without being fussy.
How it’s built
The sweater uses 2×2 ribbing at the edges, stockinette for the body, and a cable cross on the back. Worked flat and seamed. It’s an intermediate project mainly because of the cable – if you’ve done a cable before, this won’t give you any trouble.
The pattern is based on Darby’s original design, resized specifically for a 5-pound dog. That’s a real niche – there aren’t many cable patterns sized this small.
