Most dog costumes strive to personify a pooch, but others pay tribute to fellow members of the animal Kingdom. And I'm not talking about a Boston terrier deciding to leave the dog house dressed up as Lassie. Far from it – we're talking jumping species here. For example – Mattie's proud owner, Tobi, tells us about her dog's uncanny resemblance to a particular elegant movie animal all the way from Wichita, Kansas: 
Mattie is dressed as a White Stallion this year waiting to take Cinderella to the Ball in her Pumpkin Carriage. Mattie enjoys dressing up for Halloween along with seeing the kids as they come to the door in costume. Well she would like to think that everyone is coming to visit her. At 3' tall, 125 lbs. people ask if Mattie is a horse so the costume fit well for this year! Off to the Ball! Happy Howl-O-Ween!
Mattie is a Brindle Great Dane so playing the role of a carriage horse isn't much of a stretch. Still, we hope she doesn't get typecast and have to dress up as a Budweiser Clydesdale next year! Thanks very much for the entry, Tobi – and we wish Mattie all the best when voting commences next week!
