Welcome to the all-new DogGoneKnit.com!

It's been a very long time coming, but we've finally gotten around to redesigning the site! Please bear with us as we fine tune and build out new pages over the next few weeks. Our new goal is to build a community in which you – the user – can find, request and trade free original dog sweater patterns. Our front page will contain important updates to the site, the Dog Park is a fully functional forum where you can register and chat amongst your fellow netizens and the dog sweater pattern and resource sections will remain pretty much as they have for the past 3 years. Please keep checking back regularly for updates and we hope you enjoy the new version DogGoneKnit.com!

  1. Finally! I have been checking back for a year now. When we first emailed a couple years back, I was so excited. But then nothing ever developed. Well done for seeing it through and getting DGK back on track. I will be watching, D!

  5. I’ve got a dachshund. She gets very cold in winter and I want to knit her a jersey but cannot find a pattern. Do you perhaps have one that you could e-mail to me.

  6. Deisree: totally try the dog sweater pattern generator referred to on the first page of this site, link should some up as thedietdiary.com (etc). i have used it for my Dachshund, Gretchen & it is perfect!!! it is wonderful because you can pick any yarn & just put in your gauge for your swatch, & the measurements for your dog. there are a lot of measurements, but it gives explicit instructions on exactly where & how to measure your pet. so, you can have any yarn & any dog! it truly is terrific, as is all the information on that site. good luck! (:

  8. Why don’t you have a crochet pattern for a yellow lab? About 80 lbs of dog with no sweater living in upper Michigan all winter. No one else has one either…How about it?

  9. This is the best site, I am so glad I stumbled onto it! My daughter brought home a long haired Chihuahua and a Papilion. Of course I fell in love with them. They are soon to be fashion divas!!!
    Thanks

  10. This site is awesome – my mom’s been recruited to knit dog sweaters for me because of her expert knitting and crocheting work. We have a shitzu and bichon-shitzu cross, and I just know she’s going to be busy all winter long making sweaters for the boys to keep them warm in the cold Canadian winter. Now I just have to teach my mom how to use the internet!

    Cheers!

  11. Looking for a pattern to knit booties for dog? Have a customer ordering a sweater and wants me to try to make matching booties! Anyone have one? Seems like I may have to crochet them rather than knit, but if there is a knit pattern out there, I would love to know. thanks.
