I can't figure out if this video is cute or borderline animal cruelty. All I know for sure is that if I were Lucy, I'd associate this sweater with having my legs ripped out of their sockets and bite any approaching bugger who ever tried to put it on me again. So does someone need to call the ASPCA, or did Lucy just cut a mean rug with the help of her loving owner? Let us know what you think in the comments. And by the way, did you notice the brand new design? Whaddaya reckon? Many thanks to the lovely Reese for her hard work and great ideas.
That is just awful…tha dog is not a teddy bear! It’s alive and it’s being shaken around all over the place in a tight fitting shirt.
I have two chihuahaus and I don’t think either of them would put up with that kind of treatment for so long. I think that person needs their head examined. Those kind of people should not be allowed to have dogs. Whether they make nice seaters for them or not.
Yeah it’s a bit rough. If you want, click through to the original video page on YouTube and leave a comment for the person who posted it. I’ll try and keep the videos a little less concerning in the future!
TOO CRUEL! What the hell is this person doing to their precious pup? Be gentle with your pet!
I find that dogs only take so much handling and this good natured pooch is obviously not unhappy or it would have jumped down and ran away or bit the handler while being jostled and stuffed into the sweater. It made no attempt at all to “escape” I think the movements were just exaggerated by the poor camera quality. Don’t be so quick to condemn, there are plenty of pets out there being dumped and killed instead of overloved.
Its cruel…the dog is pulling its head up.like a plea to stop. Also the dog is panting sure sign of being very comfortable. Dogs aim to please but please do not push it!
Just because the dog is putting up with this rough shaking and isn’t running away, a sure sign of giving up and trying not to bite the hand that feeds one, doesn’t mean it likes the treatment. Also, just because other animals have it much worse doesn’t make it right either. Let’s just sya I’d love to see Lucy’s person put up with this on a consistent basis. The sweater doesn’t look too tight, I’d say, and I’m a needleworker and animal person, as in I try to treat all animals, including human, as naturally as possible. Dog gone it, pun intended, everyone should put their selves in the pets position. One should also study about their pet and natural behaviors and help their pet grow into an independent individual. Wouldn’t hurt if people did this with their children, either, don’t ya think? 🙂
At first I didn’t even read the comments or title for that matter! I was just looking for a dog costume and pattern. I watched this video and then was shocked to see how rough this lady is with her dog… Too bad — I hope she realizes how bad it looks… I hope that dog is treated better then in that video …
it was horrific. I can’t believe that dog didn’t bite her. I would’ve. I would’ve also been ashamed to have that video where other people could see it. That is definatly animal cruelty if I ever saw it. It is also not ‘cute’ in any way.
I assumed that the person in the video was a grown woman like a couple of the previous commentors, but if you look closely, the mannerisms and much of the movements and handling are much more indicative of a prepubescent boy. I’m convinced that this is not a video of an adult, but a silly child who has a very patient pup. That said, it wasn’t an easy watch.
A bit of “dancing” in the beginning is probably okay. I can see someone doing that with their dog – a type of playing. This individual takes the dancing to another level that does border on cruelty. It’s ridiculous and I’m amazed the poor dog put up with it. This is not cute or funny.
The dog must be drugged in this video! How cruel even if it isn’t!
Oh my lord. We used to have the most patient beagle in the world, and she would’ve never stayed still for that. I honestly and quite seriously wondered if the dog in the video was alive or not.
